This year’s convention will be held in Franklin, Tennessee, and is the perfect event for lace enthusiasts and fiber art lovers alike. We are so excited about this year’s events that we could go on for days and days, but here are some of the details that may be of interest to you:
The Dates: The first week in July is a wonderful time to CELEBRATE, and that is exactly what we plan to do. Mark your calendars. The week starts on Monday, July 1, with the opening of the Vending Hall, a welcome dinner, and a selection of pre-convention classes.
The Classes: In addition to the pre-convention classes held on Monday, July 1, regular classes run from Tuesday, July 2, through Saturday, July 6, with 20+ teachers offering over 56 classes. There is no shortage of learning opportunities at the convention. Whether you are a beginner or an experienced lace maker, there is something for everyone.
The Venue: Our convention hotel–The Franklin Marriott Cool Springs, Franklin, TN–provides a comfortable and convenient location for the convention, with plenty of space for all the activities and classes.
The Vending Hall: The Vending Hall is a must-visit for anyone attending the convention, with a wide variety of vendors offering lace supplies, tools, and other unique items. And you will not want to miss the SPECIAL EVENTS planned for the Vending Hall on PUBLIC NIGHT.
The Special Events: In addition to the SPECIAL PUBLIC NIGHT CELEBRATION just outside the Vending Hall, we’re going to have a special treat for you there!!! Join us for the annual Teachers’ Showcase where our very talented teachers display their designs and completed projects. View the Display Room where you can admire a collection of antique and contemporary laces of all sorts. And don’t forget about the lace contest–with its theme of Music.
Lace and Tattoff: Come and watch. It’s a fun and exciting competition where participants can showcase their tatting skills and creativity.
